AG Rugby Kicks off Month-Long Road Trip At San Diego
The AGs are coming off a huge win over state-rival Houston Sabercats and now head into a month-long road trip starting with the San Diego Legion. The AGs hold the top spot in the Western Conference, but the Legion are just two points behind; setting up this match for a high-stakes clash.

AG Players to Watch Out For
Julian Dominguez
Dominguez is coming off a huge match against Houston where he scored two tries for the AGs. He now ties the league lead in tries with 6! It seems inevitable that Julian will score a try every match.
Cam Dodson
Dodson is a threat in every phase of the game. He consistently racks up a high tackle count, is a primary option in the AG lineout, and always a threat to break the line with a carry. With Dodson and Ostberg coming off the bench for Isaac Ross and Sebastian De Chaves, the AGs may have put together the league’s best second row.
Christian Ostberg
Christian Ostberg has been a standout performer for the AGs as an impact player off the bench all season long. Ostberg can fill in at lock and blindside flanker and make his presence felt at either position, which adds great utility and depth to the AG squad. He’s also a hometown player and a fan favorite; his impact brings great excitement to Austin area rugby.
San Diego Players to Watch Out For
Ma’a Nonu
Nonu is an All Blacks legend and one of the greatest rugby players of all time. His impact is constant and unrelenting. He will have to be a player the AGs target on defense or face the consequences.
Matias Freyre
Freyre is the sparkplug for San Diego’s attack and a tremendous threat in the counterattack. This is Freyre’s first year in San Diego and he’s constantly being used in unique ways. He will make the AGs coaching staff work to scout out how to defend the Argentine fullback.
Tevita Tameilau
Tameilau is a bowling ball of a No. 8 for San Diego. He’s one of the best ball carriers in the league and almost impossible to stop with a head of steam. The AGs will have to gang tackle Tameilau or he will be a linebreak threat all evening.
