Austin Elite Rugby Teams with Facebook for Global View of its 2019 Major League Rugby Season
ROUND ROCK (TX) – Austin Elite Rugby is excited to announce a partnership with Facebook for the global broadcast of its 2019 Major League Rugby season. For the first time, professional rugby will be brought to fans across the world via Facebook Watch.
“As we enter into our second season, we wanted to enhance our broadcast platforms and Facebook Watch is the perfect partner,” said Mike Ablett, Marketing Director of Austin Elite Rugby. “With all of our home games being aired on Facebook Watch, we are able to offer our content to a global audience, and the interaction that, the Facebook Watch platform enables is a great way to experience Austin Elite Rugby.”
Live Austin Elite Rugby action will be available for free on Facebook Watch via mobile and desktop devices and Facebook’s TV apps. Fans can follow the Austin Elite Rugby Facebook Page to add games to their personal Watchlists.
Austin Elite Rugby and Facebook Watch will feature six regular season home games on select Friday and Saturday nights. Coverage begins on Saturday, January 26, against Austin Elite’s southern-rival, the Houston SaberCats (7:00 pm CST).
