AG Rugby Evaluates Talent At The Rugby Showcase
Today at The Rugby Showcase, 70+ draft-eligible players performed athletic tests, skills-based challenges, and structured mini-games in front of seven MLR talent scouts.
AG Rugby Director of Player Personnel Dave Hodges oversaw the talent evaluation of over 70 players on the day, assisted in the effort by Austin Willis.
Hodges said, “Today’s showcase was an excellent opportunity to get an up-close impression and go beyond the highlight tapes and find out more about the makeup of these future MLR players.”
The Rugby Showcase was organized by HPM Group rugby agency made up of four current MLR players in Mike Brown, Matt Hughston, Anthony Parry. With the MLR draft only 12 days away the showcase certainly provided teams and players with valuable facetime and tangible athletic test figures.
