Austin Elite Rugby Officially Announce the Signing of Prop, Brendan Rams
ROUND ROCK (TX) – Austin Elite Rugby is pleased to officially announce the signing of Prop, Brendan Rams. A product of The Blue Bulls Rugby Union and University of Pretoria (TUKS) youth & senior program — Rams is a force in the scrum with 17 years of rugby under his belt.
Rams represented the Blue Bulls Rugby Union from age u16 to senior level. He then suited up for the Pumas u21 side in the Currie Cup, but later went on to play for the Valke rugby union team at senior level.
In 2014 Rams crosses the pond to the US in pursuit of a rugby career in Austin, having played for both the Austin Huns and Austin Blacks.
Rams committed to his first professional contract in 2016 with Pro Rugby’s championship winners, the Denver Stampede. But early in he suffered an injury that ruled him out for the season.
“Now that we got all that other stuff out the way…this decision came full circle in an organic way. The most important part about this “signing” is the relationship & hardships I built over the years with the Austin supporters & teammates, a large number of people from both teams aren’t even considered friends, we are a strong family so I’m just here to pay it forward by bringing the pure love of the game, passion & high energy back to ATX cause it took me in as it’s kid” quoted Brendan Rams.

Welcome back to Austin, Rams!
