It’s Gameday! | Your Saturday Watch Guide
It’s Gameday and the AGs are on the hunt for their fifth consecutive win against the New England Free Jacks in Boston!
How Do I Watch The Match?
You’ve got a few options.
Come down to the AG Watch Party at Verbena at the Canopy Hotel on West 6th Street and catch the game with AG Nation. Verbena is a great food and drink spot and Hopadillos will be on sale for $3! Festivities kick off at 3pm!
Watch LIVE locally on KBVO (Channel 14) or stream live anywhere in the world on The Rugby Network!
AG Players To Watch Out For:
Sebastian De Chaves returns from injury and joins Isaac Ross in the second row for the first time this season. Ross was a menace in the lineout last match; stealing 7 lineouts off Seattle and adding two tries to his Man of the Match Performance. The pairing of 6’8″ locks will prove to be a tall task for New England.
Zinzan Elan-Puttick returned from injury to score two tries off the bench last match, this week he starts on the wing for the AGs. The Free Jacks will have to pay extra attention to Zinzan or risk giving up chunk plays this afternoon.
Nick Johnson earned his first selection to the AG squad after signing with the club a few weeks back. The bruising winger will come off the bench in the #23 jersey and should provide a contrasting play style to the more speedy wings we’ve had in the lineup this season.
New England Players To Watch Out For:
The Free Jacks backline has been dangerous this season. Dougie Fife leads the competition in tries and has proven to be a mismatch for every team he’s come across this season. Flyhalf Harrison Boyle has been the maestro to the Free Jacks attack and is not just a link to the centers but a ball-carrying threat in his own right.
The Free Jacks maul has proven lethal so far this season, with Captain Josh Larsen steering the ship. The AGs must keep the Free Jacks out of striking range or sack their maul quickly.
