Rugby isn’t the only hard-hitting element at AG. The 512 Crew is bringing the heat this season with show-stopping talent from dancers, b-boys, tumblers, and more. We can’t wait to introduce a cutting-edge hype squad with a flair for tricks, footwork and dynamic choreography. AG Rugby’s 512 Crew knows how to energize a crowd and will be raising the bar in the MLR come 2022. Get ready AG Nation!

Auditions

AUDITIONS START SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH OR NOVEMBER 7TH, 2021

(All auditions are closed to spectators)

Date: Saturday, November 6, 2021 or Sunday, November 7, 2021

Time: 9:00 am – 2:30pm (Doors at 8:30am)

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years old by November 6th, 2021
Must complete the online application and general release form

Must submit a professional/dance resume and headshot.
Must be able to attend the entire audition process.
Must have reliable transportation and live within 50 mile of Austin.
All candidates will be asked to demonstrate dancing ability and athletic skills
Ability to attend all eight (8) AG home matches, pre-season matches, and any playoff dates.
Ability to attend two (2) practices per week throughout season.
Please bring water bottle, healthy snacks, and a sweat towel.

Mask not required with negative COVID test at least 72 hours of audition or proof of vaccination.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please wear something comfortable you can dance in that also shows your individual style!
• Athletic shoes you can dance in
• Performance ready appearance
o Men – styled hair and clean facial hair
o Women – styled hair and makeup
• Please refrain from wearing shorts, heavily logoed apparel, and distracting patterns
• No jeans or jackets

WHAT TO EXPECT

All audition candidates will be judged based on skills, energy, athleticism, learning ability, professionalism, showmanship, and personality.
• Photo and video shoot
• Interviews with AG managers, directors, and VPs
• Stretching and warmups
• Freestyle opportunity
• Learning and executing choreography
• Basic knowledge test of rugby
• Opportunity to show off any tricks or special skills

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Knowledge and ability to perform a variety of dance styles
• Must be able to learn choreography quickly, and have strong memory retention
• Team players with positive attitudes
• Professional and well-spoken ambassador for the AG organization
• Energetic and hardworking individuals
• Physically fit and can uphold personal appearance
• Stand out skills and/or tricks
• Must be personable and have a passion for entertaining with a high level of enthusiasm, confidence, and poise
• Willingness to embrace the sport of rugby and AG Nation
• Must be comfortable performing in front of large audiences

Do I need to have formal dance training?

No, but advanced dance skills are recommended.

Will there be compensation?

Yes, every member of the 512 Crew are paid for home games, rehearsals, and appearances.

What is the time commitment and is this a full-time job?

This is a part-time job. All members must be able to commit to the full AG game schedule as well as two rehearsals per week from the end of
November 2021 through July 2022.

How old do I need to be in order to be on the 512 Crew?

You must be eighteen (18) years of age by November 6, 2021.
