Dodson was ranked as one of the top players before the MLR Collegiate draft but ended up going undrafted.  The free agent was quickly signed by the AGs as their first member of the 2021 squad.

Dodson, from the UK, attended Wolgarston High School where he played rugby and soccer. While in school he played for the local club Stafford RUFC and moved on to a high-ranked regional team, Stoke on Trent RUFC. After graduating in 1993, he enrolled in Grand Canyon University to study business management and played for GCU’s rugby team while attending. Dodson was a team captain during his junior and senior seasons at GCU and played a majority of his minutes at No.8.

Dodson made his breakout at Collegiate 7s Nationals, where he was able to display his long-stride and impeccable balance. His size and speed are something that can make an immediate impact at Major League Rugby.
