Luke Beauchamp #7

AG Rugby signed Luke Beauchamp for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 29-year-old flanker is 6’3″, and 235 lbs. Luke played with the Houston SaberCats for three years. He was the captain during the 2021 MLR season, playing 840 minutes in his 11 starts. During the truncated 2020 MLR season, he started four matches and appeared in a fifth as a reserve. In 2019 he played 1207 minutes in the team’s 16 matches. He carried 116 times for 670 meters, had 1 line break, 2 tackle breaks, 2 offloads, and made 209 tackles.Luke is from Brisbane, Australia, and plays back row. He played for Queensland School Boys in 2009 and for Marist Brothers Ashgrove as captain. The school is known for producing a number of national team players for Australia. In 2011 he represented Australia on the Under-19s side and has played with the Brothers Premier Rugby team since 2012. In 2012 he played in a trial match with the Melbourne Rebels Super Rugby side against the Blues and then spent time with the Melbourne Rising 2nd XV. In 2014 he represented Queensland Country, earning one cap, and played briefly in the NRC with the Queensland Reds 2nd XV. He spent most of his time in the NRC with Brisbane City beginning in 2014 through 2016.
